Quebec's Muslim Community - Communauté Musulmane du Québec (QMC-CMQ) is a non-for-profit organization (corporation) that organises Religious, Educational, Sportive, Leisure activities. These services are destined to the Muslim community of Quebec, and are available to other communities of Québec and Canada. QMC-CMQ works under the slogan "Bridges of Goodness" as it builds bridges that connect people to the sources of goodness, wellbeing and happiness on the spiritual, physical and societal levels. While QMC-CMQ is an independent entity, yet it works collaboratively with ALL major Islamic centers and establishments in Quebec and Canada. The services and activities of QMC-CMQ are carefully selected to respond to the needs of the community.

Ces services sont destinés à la communauté musulmane du Québec mais sont également ouvert aux autres communautés du Quebec et du Canada. QMC-CMQ travaille sous le slogan «Ponts de bonté» car nous avons l'audacieux objectif de construire des ponts entre les individus, sur le plan spirituel, physique et social, et les ressources de bonté. Bien que QMC-CMQ soit une entité indépendante, elle travaille en collaboration avec les grands centres et établissements islamiques du Québec et du Canada. Les services et activités du QMC-CMQ sont soigneusement sélectionnés pour répondre aux besoins de la communauté.

Why become a member of QMC-CMQ?

Becoming an active member of the QMC-CMQ gives you the following privileges and responsibilities, which are:

  1. To be able to attend the yearly General Assemblies (GA) where you can:
    1. share your opinions, participate in decision-making in order to shape the future directions of QMC-CMQ.
    2. vote when taking decisions, including the election of members of the "Board of Directors" of QMC-CMQ and suggestion of future projects that respond to the needs of the target communities.
    3. postulate yourself as a director in the board of QMC (after having been an active member of QMC-CMQ for a year during which you showed significant contributions to QMC-CMQ activities).
  2. To be able to volunteer in the activities of QMC-CMQ.
  3. To profit from certain privileges in the services offered by the QMC-CMQ. This include to receive special price reductions, receive Scholarships of excellence (for the Academy's courses), be given a priority in services offered by QMC when there are limited places.

Who can become a member?

  • Every resident of Quebec and Canada can become a member. Although members outside Quebec have full memberships rights mentioned above (from 1 to 3), except for point 1.3. This entails that, at least for time being, only residents of the province of Quebec can apply to become members of the "Board of Directors" as distant geographical localization of members of Board of directors could hinder the successful management of the QMC-CMQ.
  • Individuals of all religious backgrounds, i.e. Muslims and non-Muslims, are admissible to become members of QMC-CMQ. Although non-Muslims have full membership rights, yet they can not apply as candidate members of the Board of Directors.
  • Individuals of all ages can become member as long as they have sufficient maturity permitting them to take wise decisions. Individuals with ages < 14 years MUST have the consent of a guardian or tutor. QMC-CMQ is exercising particular care to young generations; therefore, their active involvement as leaders in the activities of QMC-CMQ is a main goal.

How to become a member?

  1. Fill the membership form by clicking here.
  2. Once you submit the admission form. You will receive a “confirmation email” with your form data and consent statement.
  3. Forward this received confirmation email to admin@qmc-cmq.com. By sending this email, you confirm to QMC your request of membership and your acceptance of the associated terms and policies
  4. When your send your email, you will receive an email confirming your membership to QMC-CMQ.

Frequently Asked Questions

Becoming a member of the QMC-CMQ is as simple as submitting an online form. Membership is FREE, however, it should be renewed on yearly basis.
QMC-CMQ is always in need of professional and hardworking volunteers. Members can submit Volunteer "Application Form" available under "Contribute" tab.
In fact, services and activities offered by QMC-CMQ are FREE. However, outsourced services are offered at cost. This is to make services and activities accessible to target communities.
Indeed, QMC-CMQ does accept donations to support the expansion of its services and activities. Donations are accepted via Paypal and Interac transactions.
