RECITATION CIRCLE – Males

This a weekly after-Fajr meeting for males to gather around Quran recitation. This activity have started since Ramadan 2020. Although the purposes is to practice Quran recitation, yet Tajweed rules are taught or revised when needed. It starts 1 hours after Fajr call for prayer according to Quebec’s time (see paryer’s call times in our home page). The recitation circle finishes around sunrise time.

The recitation circle

This circle is in fact the extension of a previous Tajweed course. The same members who attended the course are now practicing and applying the rules they learned in this recitation circle. The meeting is virtual where the Quran pages are displayed on the screen and the attendees read the dispalyed verses. Their recitation is corrected as needed for each reciter with a possibility of explaining some rules directly on the screen. In every round, each person recites about one page. In the one hour time given to this activity, every person recites 2-3 times.
